Overview
Wet puppy food from Strongheart, chicken and beef dinner in a loaf texture, sold as 24 cans of 5.5 oz each. Suited to puppy owners wanting a canned, grain free food made in the USA rather than kibble.
The line is positioned as a limited ingredient, grain free diet with fish oil and animal liver added, and it carries an appetite stimulation use claim, which points toward puppies that are picky eaters or being transitioned onto solid food. Twenty four small cans suit a feeding schedule but mean more open can handling than a single large tub would.
- 24 cans of 5.5 oz each, chicken and beef dinner
- Grain free, corn free, wheat free, soy free, potato free
- Loaf texture with fish oil and animal liver added
- Made in the USA
Who it's for
Puppy owners who want a wet food option, including dogs with sensitivities to corn, wheat, soy or potato. Less suited to owners who prefer a single large container over a 24 can case.
Pros and cons
- Grain free and free of several common allergens
- Fish oil and animal liver included as added ingredients
- Made in the USA
- Appetite stimulation use case for picky eaters
- No customer review text available yet
- 24 separate small cans require more handling than one large container
Performance notes
The loaf texture plus added fish oil and animal liver are meant to make the food palatable enough to stimulate appetite in puppies that are reluctant eaters. It is free of corn, wheat, soy and potato, which rules out several common canine allergens.
