Overview
Poking natural wool through a pattern with felting needles builds the picture in this wool painting kit. A foam block protects the work, a bamboo hoop frames it, and an instruction guide walks through the steps.
The four-pack format gives several small pictures from one order, including a flower with cat design. Needle count is small, and wool per pack is left unstated.
Who it's for
A teen or adult who likes handmade gifts will find the felting tools and patterns together. Younger children should not handle the needles, since the listing sets the age at fourteen and up.
Pros and cons
- Four packs in one order
- Foam block and needles included
- Hoop framing named
- Wool amount per pack unclear
- Only a few needles
- Hoop size not stated
Performance notes
Barbed needles tangle the wool into the backing as they are pushed through, so the picture builds from repeated pokes. The foam block takes the needle point, and even pressure holds the color flat.
