Overview
AKLOT supplies this B flat cornet as a kit with a hand-hammered bell and a gold brass leadpipe, finished in lacquer. A hard case, mouthpiece, gloves and a cleaning cloth are packed with the horn.
The kit gives a beginner a case and cleaning items along with the horn, and the brass body with a lacquered finish suits band use. Technical figures are scarce, so intermediate players have less to compare.
Who it's for
A beginner, marching band member or occasional jazz player will use the case for transport and the cloth and gloves for upkeep. Advanced players comparing technical specs will find little detail here.
Pros and cons
- Hard case included
- Cleaning cloth and gloves included
- Gold brass leadpipe
- Valve oil not mentioned
- Bore size not listed
- Mouthpiece details not given
Performance notes
The bell shape and the gold brass leadpipe give the warm tone the title describes, while the valve action governs how cleanly fast passages speak. Lacquer finishes the brass surface, and the included cloth is for wiping it down.
