Overview
Keychron built this board as a quiet, full size scissor switch keyboard that connects by dongle, Bluetooth or cable. The Launcher web app remaps keys and updates firmware from a browser, and a two stage kickstand sets the typing angle.
Silent scissor keys, a number pad and easy switching between three devices suit shared offices and home desks. No backlight is listed, so typing in the dark is harder.
Who it's for
Accountants, writers and remote workers switching between machines get a quiet board with a keypad. Gamers who want mechanical switches and lighting should look at another model.
Pros and cons
- Quiet scissor switches
- Number pad included
- Three connection modes
- Long battery life
- No backlight listed
- Key count differs in the listing
Performance notes
Quiet keystrokes come from the pre-lubed scissor switches, which travel less than mechanical keys. Battery life stretches far because there is no backlight drawing power, and the dongle gives a steadier link than Bluetooth.
