Alphaappliance Compact Top Load Washing Machine 1.5 Cu Ft

Overview

This Alphaappliance AP-WM00 is a compact 1.5 cu ft top-load washer with 8 wash programs and 10 water level settings, sized at about 53.5 by 56 by 84 cm for apartments, dorms and RVs. It includes a self-balancing mechanism, a transparent lid and caster wheels for moving it.

This is a portable top-loader rather than a full-size washer, built around the small-space use cases in its name: apartments, dorms and RVs. The 13 minute speedy mode with a claimed 87.5 percent power saving versus other cycles is a specific figure worth testing against your own utility rates rather than taking as guaranteed. A self-balancing mechanism is included specifically because compact top-loaders are prone to shaking during spin.

• 360 degree waterfall wash pattern
• Speedy mode finishes in about 13 minutes
• Transparent lid to monitor the cycle
• Child lock for control panel safety

Who it's for

Fits renters, students and RV owners who need a small, movable washer and do not have hookups or space for a full-size machine. Not intended for large households or bulky loads, given the 1.5 cu ft drum.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Ten water level settings paired with 8 wash programs let the machine be tuned to load size rather than running one fixed fill amount, and the 360 degree waterfall design is meant to circulate water from multiple directions instead of a single point. The self-balancing mechanism aims to detect and correct uneven loads before they cause excess vibration during spin. A transparent lid lets you watch the cycle, and the child lock freezes the control panel during operation.
