Overview
A school band room or marching field is where this B flat sousaphone works, a bass horn in white brass with a polished finish. A mouthpiece and carry bag are included in the package.
The sousaphone style carries the bass line for a marching group, and the included bag helps with transport and storage. The listing leaves out valve, bore and bell details, and it gives no warranty.
Who it's for
A band director outfitting a marching section or a student joining one will use the style and included bag. Players needing published specifications or warranty coverage should look for a better-documented instrument.
Pros and cons
- Sousaphone style for marching
- White brass construction
- Mouthpiece and bag included
- Warranty not available
- Meaning of the size figure unclear
- Valve and bore details missing
Performance notes
A large brass tube and flared bell produce the low, resonant tones the listing describes, and the body style puts the weight on the shoulders for marching. Valve action and mouthpiece fit decide how easily low notes speak.
