Overview
Gaming at high frame rates and streaming in Dolby Vision are what this LG OLED evo kit is set up for, with self-lit pixels, four full bandwidth HDMI inputs and webOS. The kit adds an HDMI cable, a protection plan and a streaming pack.
A large OLED with strong gaming features and long software support is the reason to buy. The bundled cable is an older HDMI version, which cannot carry the TV's top refresh rate at full resolution.
Who it's for
Living room gamers and film fans get a large, fast OLED here. Anyone wanting the highest refresh from a console or PC must add a full bandwidth HDMI cable.
Pros and cons
- Four HDMI 2.1 inputs
- Fast response for gaming
- Long software update support
- Protection plan included
- Bundled cable is HDMI 2.0
- Glossy screen reflects light
- Static content can burn in
Performance notes
Per pixel lighting gives black levels that do not depend on a backlight. Variable refresh syncs frame output from consoles and PCs. Full refresh at full resolution needs the bandwidth of the newest HDMI version, which the bundled cable does not provide.
