Overview
Light, Latch-installed and forward-facing only, the Safety BC208HMZ is rated to 100 pounds and built around 16 x 18 x 28.5 inch dimensions. At 8.75 pounds it is noticeably lighter than a bulkier convertible shell.
A 100 pound weight ceiling combined with forward-facing-only orientation is typical of booster-style seating for older toddlers and young kids rather than a seat meant to carry an infant rear-facing. Latch installation means it anchors directly to the vehicle's built-in connectors instead of relying on the seatbelt alone.

- Forward-facing orientation
- 8.75 pound item weight
Who it's for
Parents of a forward-facing-ready child who want a lighter seat that anchors with Latch rather than a heavier convertible model. Not intended for rear-facing infant use given its forward-facing-only listing.
Pros and cons
- Latch installation for a secure vehicle anchor
- Light at 8.75 pounds versus bulkier seats
- Rated to 100 pounds, covers older kids
- Forward-facing only, no rear-facing option
Performance notes
Latch installation anchors the seat directly to the vehicle's built-in lower anchors and tether, which generally installs more securely and consistently than a seatbelt-only setup. The forward-facing-only orientation and 100 pound ceiling mean this seat is built around older toddlers and young children who have outgrown rear-facing requirements.
