Overview
This is a fitted cover cut for the Royal Gourmet GB8001B and GB8003 8-burner flat-top griddles, sized to keep an outdoor grill dry and dust free between cookouts. It suits owners who leave one of those two models parked outside year round and want a snug, wind-secured fit rather than a loose tarp.
Interestingly, most of the buyers who left feedback used this cover on a different grill entirely, from a tabletop Pit Boss to an indoor-style smoker, which speaks to how the fabric and strap system perform in general rather than on the Royal Gourmet specifically. One owner running the grill in a covered kitchen still had to disconnect the gas hose from the tank to seat the cover fully, worth knowing if propane stays hooked up between uses.
- 420D oxford fabric with waterproof PU coating
- Heat-sealed seams to block water seepage
- Drawstring and four wind-securing buckles
- Vented design plus two carry handles
Who it's for
Royal Gourmet GB8001B and GB8003 owners who want a cover sized to their exact griddle footprint. Owners of similarly dimensioned flat tops or kettle grills have also fit it successfully, so it is worth measuring your own unit against the listed size first.
Pros and cons
- Waterproof multi-layer oxford fabric with sealed seams
- Drawstring plus four buckles resist wind lift
- Air vents cut down on trapped condensation
- Two reinforced handles make it easy to put on and remove
- Gas hose may need to be unhooked from the tank to close the cover completely
- Sized specifically for the Royal Gourmet 8-burner pair, so other models need their own measurement check
Performance notes
The cover pairs a 420D oxford outer layer with a waterproof coating and heat-sealed seams, backed by an inner PU layer that blocks UV. A drawstring, click-close straps and four buckles cinch it against wind, while built-in air vents let moisture escape instead of pooling as condensation underneath.
