Overview
A rod rack from YYST that uses rubber-coated magnets set in a plastic body to hold fishing rods, finished in black and sold as a single unit.
Magnetic rod racks hold rods by clamping the blank between magnetic pads rather than slotting them into fixed holes, letting anglers store rods of different diameters without matching a specific slot size. The rubber coating on the magnets is meant to keep bare metal from scratching the rod blank.
- Rubber-coated magnetic grip
- Plastic body construction
- Black color
- Fits varying rod diameters
Who it's for
Anglers who want flexible rod storage for a boat, garage or truck bed that does not depend on matching rod diameter to a fixed slot. Not built as an active rod holder for fishing, since it is described as a stand or rack for storage.
Pros and cons
- Magnetic grip adapts to varying rod diameters
- Rubber coating protects rod blanks
- Simple black finish
- Holding strength depends on magnet quality, not detailed in specs
- Mounting method is not specified
Performance notes
Rubber-coated magnets grip the rod blank directly, avoiding the scuffing that bare metal clips can cause, and the magnetic hold generally makes it easy to remove and replace rods one-handed.
