Overview
Scanning bound books without cutting them apart is what the CZUR ET MAX does, capturing pages from above and flattening the curve automatically. OCR turns scans into searchable PDFs, Word or Excel files.
Book scanning without damage suits libraries, students and archivists. Some OCR languages, such as Thai and Hebrew, are not supported.
Who it's for
Researchers, teachers and archive projects suit this overhead scanner. Office paper stacks are faster through a sheet-fed scanner.
Pros and cons
- Scans bound books intact
- Large A3 area
- Fast per-page capture
- Wide OCR language support
- Glossy pages reflect
- Some OCR languages missing
- Manual page turning
Performance notes
The overhead camera captures each page as you turn it, and software straightens the curve near the spine. LED lighting evens exposure, while glossy surfaces bounce light into the lens. OCR accuracy depends on clean, flat captures.
