Overview
A built-in WiFi access point and a small PoE switch share one desktop body in this Ubiquiti gateway. It runs the full UniFi software suite, so the same box routes traffic, broadcasts WiFi and manages other UniFi gear.
A fast fiber-ready uplink and the UniFi controller in a single unit cut down on boxes and setup time. Only one port supplies PoE power, so cameras or extra access points will need their own power source.
Who it's for
UniFi users who want one tidy desktop box for routing, WiFi and management get it here. Sites with many cameras or wired desks will outgrow the small switch.
Pros and cons
- WiFi 7 with the six gigahertz band
- SFP+ port for fiber uplinks
- UniFi controller built in
- PoE port powers one device
- Only one PoE port
- Small four-port switch
- Dimensions not listed
- Warranty not stated
Performance notes
Wireless speed depends on client devices supporting the newest WiFi generation and band, while the SFP+ port lets a fast fiber or wired uplink reach the gateway without a bottleneck. Management load grows with connected devices, and the listing sizes it for a small to mid network.
