Overview
The Maxdone PH960W connects only to its own short-range Wi-Fi hotspot, not your home network, and has no cellular option, so photos transfer to the TrailCamGO app when you are within roughly 50 feet. A 6000mAh battery and adjustable split solar panel keep it running without battery swaps, and a 32GB card ships pre-installed.
- 4K video, 64MP photos
- Split solar panel, 6000mAh battery, 3 charging modes
- 32GB SD card included, pre-installed
- WiFi plus Bluetooth pairing within about 50 ft
Who it's for
Buyers watching a yard, farm gate, or nearby food plot where checking in from within about 50 feet is fine will get the most from this camera. Anyone scouting land they cannot walk up to regularly needs a cellular camera instead.
Pros and cons
- No subscription or monthly fee
- Solar, Type-C, and battery charging in one unit
- 32GB SD card included and pre-installed
- WiFi range limited to about 50 feet
- Not compatible with home WiFi or cellular data
Performance notes
The split solar panel's angle adjusts independently to track the sun, feeding a 6000mAh battery that can also charge over Type-C or run on stored charge alone. A 0.1 second trigger with customizable detection zones aims to cut false triggers, and 5-shot burst mode with noise-reduced audio covers video.
