Overview
A three-pack of tempered glass privacy screen protectors cut for the 6.3 inch iPhone 17 Pro, darkening the display for anyone viewing from the side. Includes an installation frame.
Like other privacy glass, this works by limiting the viewing cone rather than blocking light, so the tradeoff is a slightly dimmer look straight-on that Ailun's own instructions suggest offsetting by raising screen brightness. It fits only the 6.3 inch iPhone 17 Pro; Ailun is explicit that the base 17, the Air, and the Pro Max all use different cuts and won't match this pack. Three protectors in the box means one can go on now and two are held in reserve for later.
- Privacy tint darkens off-angle view
- Hydrophobic, oleophobic coating
- Installation frame included
- Three-pack, 6.3 inch iPhone 17 Pro
Who it's for
IPhone 17 Pro owners who want their screen unreadable to people next to them on a train, in a meeting, or at a desk. Not for anyone who wants full screen brightness without a tint, or who owns a different iPhone 17 model.
Pros and cons
- Screen unreadable from the side
- Hydrophobic coating resists fingerprints
- Three-pack for replacements
- Fits only the 6.3 inch iPhone 17 Pro
- Tint dims straight-on brightness somewhat
Performance notes
The privacy layer darkens the image outside a narrow forward viewing cone, the same mechanism behind every privacy screen protector, while the hydrophobic and oleophobic coating on top handles fingerprint resistance separately from the tinting. Because the tint reduces visible brightness, Ailun's own instructions note turning the display brightness up to compensate. The included frame handles alignment so the layers can be applied without freehand guesswork.
