Mechyin Round Farmhouse Dining Table with Storage 42 Inch

Overview

Mechyin's 42 inch round dining table adds a lower storage shelf beneath its pedestal-style base, aimed at small kitchens that want a place for plates or napkins within reach of the table itself.

The reinforced X-shaped base with 50x25mm steel legs and adjustable non-slip foot pads is a step up in stated build detail from a simple pedestal, and the two-panel tabletop, versus the four-piece tops common on similarly sized tables, is meant to leave fewer visible seams. The walnut wood grain top paired with a black metal base is a farmhouse-industrial combination rather than the mid-century look of some competitors at this size.

• 42 inch round MDF tabletop
• Built-in lower storage shelf
• X-shaped steel base, 50x25mm legs
• Walnut wood grain top, black metal base

Who it's for

Suits a small kitchen, breakfast nook or apartment that wants built-in storage for tableware alongside seating for two to four. Less useful if you already have sideboard or cabinet storage and just want the smallest possible footprint.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The X-shaped steel base with 50x25mm legs is built to resist wobble, and adjustable non-slip foot pads correct for uneven floors. The MDF tabletop is stated as scratch resistant, heat resistant and waterproof, and the two-panel construction is designed to close tabletop seams more tightly than typical four-piece assemblies.
