Overview
IFixit's 145549-1 plier pairs a plastic and rubber handle with the brand's usual focus on repair-friendly tools. Specs beyond the handle material are not listed, so jaw length and type should be checked against the product images before buying.
IFixit built its name on tools for opening and repairing electronics, and this plier fits that catalog rather than a general hardware line. The listing does not specify jaw shape or length, so match it to the fastener or wire gauge you are working with rather than assuming a universal fit.
- IFixit brand, repair tool focus
- Plastic and rubber handle
Who it's for
Suited to people doing device teardown, repair or small assembly work where a comfortable rubber grip matters more than raw jaw size. Less useful as a stand alone plier for automotive or heavy mechanical work.
Pros and cons
- Rubber and plastic grip for comfort
- From a brand focused on repair tools
- Rated 4.7 across 256 buyers
- Jaw type and length not specified
- No dimensions listed to confirm fit
Performance notes
The plastic and rubber handle is the only build detail given, aimed at grip comfort during repeated small tasks. Jaw type, length and cutting or gripping capacity are not in the spec data, so performance on any specific job depends on details this listing does not confirm.
