Overview
A PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 2280 SSD rated up to 7350MB/s read, sold with a heatsink and marketed for PS5 storage expansion as well as laptop and desktop upgrades. A budget entry into Gen4 speeds backed by a 5-year warranty.
The listing leans hard on gaming language, but the specifics worth trusting are the interface, PCIe Gen4x4, the form factor, M.2 2280, and the included heatsink, screws and screwdriver for install. Sustained write speed isn't stated, so treat the 7350MB/s figure as a read-speed ceiling rather than an all-around number.
- PCIe Gen4x4 interface
- Up to 7350MB/s read speed
- M.2 2280 form factor with heatsink
- 5-year limited warranty
Who it's for
Fits a PS5 owner adding storage or a PC builder who wants a Gen4 drive with the hardware already included for the swap. Less suited to someone chasing benchmark-topping sustained write performance, since that spec isn't published.
Pros and cons
- PCIe Gen4x4 interface rated up to 7350MB/s read
- Ships with heatsink, screws and screwdriver
- Sized and marketed for PS5 storage expansion
- 5-year limited warranty
- Sustained write speed not published
- Needs a PCIe 4.0-capable slot to hit rated speed
Performance notes
The PCIe Gen4x4 interface is what enables the stated 7350MB/s read ceiling, roughly double what a Gen3 drive can reach, which shows up as faster game loads and quicker boot times rather than a difference in everyday file browsing. The included heatsink matters more than it sounds: Gen4 drives can throttle under sustained load, especially in a tight console or laptop bay, so the extra surface area helps hold speed during longer transfers or extended gaming sessions.
