Overview
A converting plastic body lets this Wheeljack shift between an Autobot robot and a car, with joints for posing in robot mode. The look follows The Transformers: The Movie, and a blaster clips on in either form.
Collectors get a movie-styled Wheeljack that changes shape and still holds a display pose. The multi-step conversion is part of the fun for fans, yet it asks more of small hands than simpler converting toys.
Who it's for
Shelf displays of movie-era Autobots are where this figure belongs. Parents shopping for a preschooler should look at simpler converting toys instead.
Pros and cons
- Converts between robot and car modes
- Blaster works in both modes
- Articulated for display poses
- Movie-inspired deco and details
- Car mode dimensions not listed
- Long conversion for younger kids
- Only one accessory included
Performance notes
How well it displays depends on the articulation in the arms, legs and head, which sets the poses it can hold. The conversion sequence decides how quickly it switches modes, and repeated handling of the joints is what wears a figure like this over time.
