Overview
On a shortboard setup, this deck carries artwork by Isamu Yamamoto, with the skull made a larger focal point than on his last signature model. The deck is maple wood in a multi-colored finish.
Buy it for the artist-driven graphic, which Isamu describes as aiming for a more striking effect than his earlier work. The limitation is that the listing gives dimensions only, with no shape or concave details.
Who it's for
Experienced adult skaters and graphic collectors who know the width and length they ride. Newcomers, or buyers expecting a ready to ride skateboard, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Artist signature graphic
- Maple wood construction
- Warranty against delamination
- Deck only, no hardware
- Shape and concave not described
- Advanced skill level only
Performance notes
Width and length set the stance and stability, and the maple layers provide the pop. The listed weight is for the bare deck alone. The graphic is the main point of difference, since the listing gives no construction detail.
