A sensible starter or replacement kit for electricians who need rated insulated tools in an organized box. It covers only core cutters and two screwdrivers, so pliers and testers must come from elsewhere.

Overview
Electricians working near live circuits get a matched set of insulated hand tools in a MODbox case. Each tool wears a bright orange insulation layer, and a foam insert holds the screwdrivers, cutters and stripper in place under a clear lid.
Insulation rated for live work on every tool, plus a foam layout that shows at a glance when one is missing, makes the kit easy to carry onto a job. The selection is short, with no voltage tester or nut drivers, and the stripper's wire gauge range is not given.
Who it's for
Apprentices and working electricians who already use MODbox storage get rated tools that slot into that system. Homeowners doing a single fixture swap rarely need tools rated for live work.
Pros and cons
- Every tool insulated for live work
- Foam insert shows missing tools
- Clear lid for quick identification
- Connects with other MODbox components
- Wire stripper gauge range not listed
- Only two screwdriver tips included
- No pliers or voltage tester in kit
Performance notes
Protection comes from the insulation layer, which is built to resist impact and flame; damage to that layer is what would compromise it, so inspect it before live work. Cutting depends on the forged steel jaws, and the foam insert stops tools rubbing against each other in transit.
