Overview
A 7-inch flexible fillet knife from DRAGON with a stainless steel blade, an overall length of 13 inches including handle, finished in orange, and sold with a sheath.
Fillet knives flex more than a standard kitchen or hunting knife, letting the blade follow the bone line as it cuts, which is the point of the flexible-blade design named in the title.
- 7-inch flexible stainless blade
- 13-inch overall length
- Orange finish
- Sheath included
Who it's for
Anglers who clean and fillet their own catch and want a dedicated flexible blade rather than adapting a general kitchen knife. Not intended for heavy-duty tasks like batoning or cutting through bone.
Pros and cons
- Flexible blade follows bone lines during filleting
- Stainless steel resists corrosion from fish and water contact
- Sheath included for storage
- Not suited to tasks needing a rigid blade
- Handle material beyond color is not specified
Performance notes
The flexible stainless blade bends along the spine and rib bones during filleting, which keeps more meat on the fillet than a rigid blade would. The included sheath covers the 7-inch edge for storage and transport.
