Overview
Streaming shows on a big living room wall with free channels and personalized recommendations is the role of this LG set. A direct LED backlight with local dimming lights the panel, and webOS handles apps, casting and voice search.
A big screen, free LG channels and Filmmaker Mode cover family streaming and movie nights well. The panel's standard refresh rate limits console gaming, and the soundbar, wall mount and surge adapter in the title are not listed among the box contents.
Who it's for
Households watching streaming apps, news and sports on a big screen will find it easy to use. Gamers on current consoles will notice the lack of a high refresh panel.
Pros and cons
- Large screen for the room
- Local dimming backlight
- Over three hundred free channels
- AirPlay 2 and Google Cast
- Standard refresh rate only
- Only three HDMI ports
- Bundle extras not itemized in specs
- Basic stereo speakers
Performance notes
Contrast depends on the direct LED backlight dimming zones behind dark areas of the picture. The AI processor upscales lower resolution sources and applies dynamic tone mapping to HDR, while motion is limited by the standard refresh panel.
