Overview
Not a countertop jug frother, the Bonsenkitchen MF8713 is a handheld wand with a dual spring whisk that is dipped into the cup to foam milk or mix drinks. It runs on a battery recharged over USB-C.
Cordless operation and USB-C recharging make it easy to use at the cup without a nearby outlet. Heating is not listed as a function, and the speed count and stand mentioned in the title are absent from the spec sheet.
Who it's for
Suited to a home coffee bar or office desk where milk is warmed separately and only needs whipping. Those who want hot foam in one step need a heated jug instead.
Pros and cons
- Rechargeable over USB-C
- Dual spring whisk head
- Stainless steel construction
- Handles lattes, cappuccino and protein drinks
- Speed settings not listed in specs
- Hand wash only
- Stand mentioned in title, absent from components
Performance notes
Foam quality depends on whisk speed, milk temperature and how deep the head is held in the cup. The dual spring head churns air into the milk as it spins, and battery charge level affects how strongly it turns.
