Overview
A student or home user who needs a basic laptop for browsing, email and documents gets this HP, with an AMD Athlon chip, an anti-glare HD screen and Windows in S Mode. It includes a year of Microsoft Office, a webcam privacy shutter and a Copilot key.
It covers the essentials with a privacy shutter, modern Wi-Fi and Office included for the first year. The memory is minimal for many browser tabs, and the HD screen shows less detail than full HD panels.
Who it's for
Students, first-time laptop owners and light home users get a simple Windows machine with Office included. Anyone running many apps at once will feel the limited memory.
Pros and cons
- Office included for a year
- Camera privacy shutter
- Wi-Fi 6 wireless
- USB-C plus two USB-A ports
- Only 4GB of RAM
- Low resolution HD screen
- Seller opens factory seal for upgrades
- Storage figures conflict in the listing
Performance notes
Everyday speed is set by the small memory pool, which fills quickly with browser tabs and pushes work onto the SSD. The low-power Athlon chip handles documents, streaming and video calls. The SSD helps boot and app launch speed.
