Overview
Hunters who scout with SD cards get a straightforward Muddy trail camera that shoots high resolution stills and HD video, with infrared LEDs for night. A burst mode takes up to three shots per trigger, and a Python lock latch deters theft.
Fast triggering and burst shots help catch moving deer without a data plan. The listing gives two different battery counts and two detection ranges, so plan for the lower numbers.
Who it's for
Made for scouting trails and feeders where checking the card in person is fine. Hunters who want remote alerts need a cellular model.
Pros and cons
- High resolution stills
- Fast trigger speed
- Burst mode up to three shots
- Lock latch for security
- Battery count conflicts on listing
- Video only 720p
- Detection range listed two ways
Performance notes
The infrared LEDs light subjects at night without a visible glow, while burst mode improves the odds of a sharp frame on moving animals. Battery life depends on how many triggers it takes.
