Overview
A two-piece stainless steel fishing plier set, an 8.26 inch pliers for larger fish and deep hook removal and a 6.29 inch pliers for smaller catches, both with serrated jaws, a line cutter and a split ring tip.
Both pliers ship with a coiled lanyard and carabiner so they can clip to a vest, belt loop or tackle box instead of getting set down and lost. The jaws double as a crimper for sleeves and leads, so the set covers hook removal, line cutting and rigging in one purchase.
- 8.26 inch and 6.29 inch pliers included
- Stainless steel construction for saltwater use
- Built-in line cutter and split ring tip
- Coiled lanyard and carabiner on each pliers
Who it's for
Suits anglers who want a hook-removal pliers for bigger fish plus a smaller, precision pair for finesse work, in either saltwater or freshwater. Less useful for anyone who only needs a single all-purpose pliers, since the value here is in having two matched sizes.
Pros and cons
- Two sizes cover big fish and precision tasks
- Serrated jaws double as a line cutter and crimper
- Spring-loaded jaws allow one-handed operation
- Stainless steel resists saltwater corrosion
Performance notes
The serrated jaws grip hooks and split rings while the built-in cutter handles braided, mono and fluorocarbon line, and the same jaws work as a crimper for sleeves and leads. A spring-loaded mechanism opens the jaws for one-handed use, so the other hand stays free to hold the fish.
