Overview
A quick-release SpeedBlade XS holder lets a skater swap the stainless steel blade without replacing the boot. The ergonomic senior boot has a microfiber lining with an EVA layer, a memory foam ankle pad and an Ortholite insole.
Control in fast movements and quick blade swaps are the reasons to consider the XF70 for skaters moving up from entry level. Fit information is thin, with only a single size given and no mention of width, which is a limit for a skate where fit matters.
Who it's for
Senior players who want a firm boot and a lighter plastic build will use the stiffness. Youth skaters, and players who must see a published boot width first, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Quick-release blade holder
- Memory foam ankle pad
- Microfiber lining with EVA layer
- Reinforced tongue with lace protection
- Boot width not listed
- Stiff boot may be hard for newer skaters
- Single size per listing
Performance notes
Boot stiffness is what ties foot movement to the blade, so the stiff core gives control during fast movements. The reinforced tongue spreads lace pressure over the foot, and the quick-release holder lets a worn blade be changed without a new boot.
