Overview
A gaming desk or a LAN party table is where the MSI Crosshair belongs: a large high-refresh screen, an RTX graphics chip with AI upscaling, a Ryzen HX processor and a dual-fan cooling system for long sessions.
High frame rates on a sharp, fast screen with room to add memory are the reason to buy it. It is heavy, and the speakers are basic for a gaming laptop.
Who it's for
Suited to esports and AAA gamers and streamers who mostly play at a desk. Commuters wanting a thin travel laptop should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Strong HX processor
- Current RTX graphics with AI upscaling
- Sharp, fast matte screen
- Two memory slots for upgrades
- Heavy to carry
- Base memory is modest
- Small built-in speakers
Performance notes
The RTX chip and AI upscaling carry frame rates at the native QHD+ resolution, while the HX processor feeds fast games without bottleneck. Dual-fan cooling sustains clocks, though the fans get loud under load.
