Overview
The Colugo 150000 is an umbrella stroller for babies 4 months and older, rated to 55 pounds, built on an aluminum and plastic frame with a polyester seat. It weighs 18 pounds, noticeably more than lighter umbrella strollers but still under the weight of most full-size frames.
Starting at 4 months rather than birth, this stroller suits babies who can already sit somewhat supported rather than newborns needing a flat recline. The aluminum frame likely explains the extra weight compared to all-polyester umbrella strollers, trading some portability for a sturdier build.
- Aluminum and plastic frame
- 55 lb weight capacity
- 4 months and older
- 18 lb stroller weight
Who it's for
Parents of babies 4 months and up who want a stroller with more frame durability than a bare-bones umbrella model. Not suited to newborns or to anyone wanting a car seat attachment.
Pros and cons
- Aluminum frame for added durability
- 55 pound weight capacity extends usable years
- Not usable from birth, starts at 4 months
- No car seat compatibility
- 18 pounds is heavier than budget umbrella strollers
Performance notes
The aluminum and plastic frame sits between the flimsier all-plastic umbrella strollers and the bulkier full-size aluminum frames, and the 55 pound capacity gives it room to last well past the toddler years. At 18 pounds it is still liftable into a trunk, just not one-handed the way a 10 pound umbrella stroller would be.
