Overview
Not a race lid or a half shell, the Simpson Speed Bandit is a full face street helmet with the brand's aggressive brow styling. A polycarbonate shell, venturi vents at the brow and chin, and a wide quick release shield cover cruising and touring rides.
Riders get a distinctive look with dual DOT and ECE certification and speaker pockets ready for a comms unit. The included shield is clear only, and this listing is for a single size.
Who it's for
Cruiser and touring riders who wear an extra large helmet and want both certifications will be covered. Riders in other sizes need a different listing.
Pros and cons
- DOT and ECE certified
- Speaker cut outs for comms
- Removable, washable liner
- Quick release locking shield
- Clear shield only included
- Single size per listing
- No internal sun visor
Performance notes
Airflow depends on the venturi vents at the brow and chin, which use low pressure behind the openings to draw air through. The quick release shield locks in four positions for venting at low speed. Fit hinges on choosing the right shell size and the liner, which comes out for washing.
