Overview
The Lalo Hook-On Chair clamps onto a table edge rather than standing as a full highchair, giving a baby a seat with tray and footrest wherever there is a table, and it packs down to 5.5 pounds for portability.
Despite being filed under highchairs here, the title makes clear this is a hook-on chair, a category built to clip directly onto a table rather than stand on its own legs. That distinction matters for buyers who actually want a floor standing highchair, since a hook-on chair depends on the table it attaches to.
- Hook-on table attachment
- Includes tray and footrest
- 37 pound weight capacity
- 5.5 pound portable design
Who it's for
Parents wanting a lightweight seat that clips onto restaurant or dining tables for travel or small kitchens without room for a full highchair. It is not a substitute for a standalone highchair when no suitable table edge is available.
Pros and cons
- Clips onto tables for dining out or tight kitchens
- Includes tray and footrest
- Light at 5.5 pounds and portable
- Depends on having a suitable table edge to attach to
- Not a substitute for a floor standing highchair
Performance notes
It works by clamping onto a table edge, with the footrest and tray adding support and a surface for the baby while seated at that height. At 5.5 pounds and rated portable, it packs for travel more easily than a floor standing highchair, though it needs a suitable table to attach to.
