Overview
Four side-locking latches and a silicone gasket keep this plastic bread box airtight, with a date dial on the lid for tracking storage time and a 12 x 6.2 x 6 in footprint.
This box leans on a mechanical seal rather than a natural material like wood or bamboo: a silicone gasket plus four latching clasps keep air out, with a manual air valve to bleed pressure.
- Silicone gasket airtight seal
- 4 side-locking latches with air valve
- Time recording dial on lid
- 12 x 6.2 x 6 in, BPA-free plastic
Who it's for
Less suited to anyone who has had bad luck with plastic side-locking latches wearing out.
Pros and cons
- One reviewer found it very hard to seal
Performance notes
The silicone gasket and four side latches are what create the airtight seal, with a one-way air valve to let pressure equalize without breaking that seal.
