Overview
Fujifilm built this X series body as a compact creator camera around an APS-C sensor and its signature Film Simulation looks. A touchscreen sets vertical or square video and skin smoothing, three mics handle sound, and this bundle adds a spare battery and case.
Film Simulation color and high resolution video in a pocketable body make it a strong social content camera. It is body only, with no flash or weather sealing.
Who it's for
Vloggers, travelers and street photographers get rich color and a light body. Anyone without an X mount lens must buy one first, and rain shooters need cover.
Pros and cons
- Fujifilm Film Simulation looks
- High resolution video
- Vertical and square formats on screen
- Three built in mics
- No lens included
- Not water resistant
- No built in flash
Performance notes
Image quality comes from the APS-C sensor, far larger than a phone's, which holds noise down in low light. Autofocus combines phase and contrast detection, so tracking holds well for faces and moving subjects.
