Overview
A sleepover or birthday party is where a camera like this fits, with a silicone body, a bright touchscreen and a lens on each side for selfies. Shooting modes include portrait, landscape, macro, sports and movie.
Selfie and rear lenses, simple modes and a silicone shell make it easy for children to use. The limitation is image detail: the headline resolution is far above the effective resolution listed.
Who it's for
Children in the listed age range who like taking selfies and filming friends. Parents get a USB link to computers and a card slot. Anyone wanting sharp prints should choose a different camera.
Pros and cons
- Front and rear lenses
- Touchscreen with simple modes
- Silicone body for knocks
- Memory card included per title
- Headline resolution is inflated
- Small sensor limits dim scenes
- Battery life is short
Performance notes
A small sensor with a fixed focal length makes controls simple but limits dim light results. Nine autofocus points use contrast detection to find focus. Video records at full high definition, and the front lens helps with selfies.
