Overview
A baby shower activity kit from Nolia with 48 blank natural wood cubes, 12 acrylic markers, and a storage box, meant for guests to decorate into a keepsake block set for the baby.
The natural wood finish is the point of differentiation the brand calls out against other decorating block sets, since unfinished wood takes marker color evenly and photographs without a printed pattern showing through. The included storage box doubles as a keepsake container after the shower, letting the finished blocks go straight from guest activity to nursery toy.
- 48 blank wooden cubes, 1.2 x 1.2 inches
- 12 acrylic markers included
- Keepsake storage box included
- Ready to set up in under a minute
Who it's for
Hosts planning a baby shower who want a guest activity that produces a usable keepsake rather than disposable party ephemera. Not a fit for anyone wanting a ready made game with no setup or drying time involved.
Pros and cons
- Produces a keepsake toy rather than disposable decorations
- Comes with its own storage box for after the party
- Minimal setup, blocks and markers ready to go
- Natural wood takes marker color without a printed pattern underneath
- Decorated blocks need drying time before they're safe for baby to handle
- Marker permanence on wood isn't detailed
Performance notes
Setup is limited to laying out the blank blocks, markers, and instruction sign, described as ready in under a minute. The acrylic markers are matched to the unfinished wood so color goes on without needing a primed or painted surface first.
