Overview
A wide, high flotation carcass spreads the machine's weight in the Galaxy skid steer tire, helping it climb out of mud and sand. The industrial lug tread has a continuous center for wear on hard ground, and the casing holds its shape inflated or not.
Galaxy gives skid steers far more footprint for soft ground than a standard tire, with a high load capacity. It comes bare, so plan on a separate rim and mounting.
Who it's for
Wet job sites, farms and sandy ground suit a wide flotation tire like this. Owners without a rim or tire machine should buy a premounted assembly instead.
Pros and cons
- High flotation footprint
- Very high load capacity
- Heavy sidewall protection
- Abrasion resistant tread
- Wheel not included
- Needs professional mounting
- Wider tire may rub some machines
Performance notes
A wider section lowers ground pressure, which is what stops the machine from sinking. The neutral contour casing limits internal stress, while the lug pattern balances grip and wear.
