Overview
Vosker designed the VKX as a solar powered security camera that sends photo alerts over its own cellular link, no WiFi or outlet needed. A swappable front battery backs the solar panel, and a deterrent light signals intruders that the site is watched.
Cellular connection plus solar power lets it guard job sites, storage yards and trailers far from any network. It captures photos and short requested clips rather than nonstop video, and plan details are not in the listing.
Who it's for
Construction managers, farm owners and storage yard operators get alerts from places other cameras cannot reach. People wanting round the clock recording at home will find a WiFi camera simpler.
Pros and cons
- Works without WiFi or power
- Solar charging with long autonomy
- Swappable front access battery
- Long motion and night range
- Photos and short clips, not continuous video
- Data plan terms not listed
- Field of view is moderate
Performance notes
Battery life depends on sunlight on the panel and how often motion triggers alerts, since every photo and clip uses power and data. Night range relies on infrared, so images after dark are black and white.
