Overview
Joie built the Caraway Whirl around four spinning wheels that roll sideways or diagonally, with one button to lock the rear pair for straight-line strolling. The reversible seat, all-wheel suspension and never-flat tires suit daily walks, and Joie infant car seats click straight on.
Moving sideways through tight shops and doorways is the standout, along with a fold that stands on its own. Despite the lightweight label, it is a full-size frame, and the basket holds a modest load.
Who it's for
Daily errands in crowded stores and sidewalks, from newborn with a Joie infant seat to toddler, are its use. Frequent flyers wanting a small travel fold should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Wheels spin in any direction
- Rear wheels lock for straight runs
- Self-standing one-hand fold
- Never-flat tires, all-wheel suspension
- Heavier than the lightweight label suggests
- Infant seat sold separately
- Modest basket capacity
Performance notes
Maneuverability comes from four swiveling wheels, which let the frame move sideways in tight spaces, while locking the rear pair restores straight tracking on long walks. All-wheel suspension and never-flat tires absorb bumps without the risk of punctures.
