Overview
Wallwisy's set of two 4x6 frames is milled from solid North American white oak with a natural finish, matted down to 3x5 and fitted with plexiglass and hanging hardware.
The natural oak finish leaves the wood's own color and grain visible rather than covering it with paint or dark stain, which suits a minimalist look more than a traditional gilded frame. An ivory mat is included so the same frame holds a 3x5 photo or a 4x6 print without the mat. Hanging hardware ships attached, and the frame can also stand on a desk.
- Solid North American white oak construction
- Ivory mat fits 3x5, unmatted fits 4x6
- Scratch-resistant plexiglass front
- Set of two, hanging hardware included
Who it's for
Good for anyone wanting a small, natural-wood accent frame for a desk or gallery wall who prefers visible grain over a painted finish. Not the choice if you want a large statement frame or a dark, formal look.
Pros and cons
- Solid North American white oak, not engineered wood
- Mat swaps between 3x5 and 4x6 photos
- Plexiglass front resists scratches
- Hanging hardware included, ready out of box
- Small format only, no larger sizes offered
- Natural grain varies between the two frames
Performance notes
Solid oak gives more heft and durability than the engineered wood used in most frames at this price and size, and the plexiglass front is scratch resistant and safer than glass if dropped. The included ivory mat can be swapped in or out to move between the two supported photo sizes, and hardware for wall mounting comes pre-attached.
