Overview
This Papaba tricycle is a 20 inch, 7-speed three-wheeler with 4 inch wide tires, front and rear disc brakes and a combined rider-plus-cargo capacity of 450 lbs, built around a shopping basket and cargo bag.
Marketed for seniors and errand riding rather than sport cycling, the three-wheel layout trades speed and agility for standing stability at stops and a built-in place to carry groceries. The category label on this listing says comfort bike, but the title and specs describe a tricycle, which is what buyers should expect on arrival.
- 450 lb combined weight capacity
- 4 inch wide all-terrain tires on 20 inch wheels
- 7-speed rear gearing
- Front and rear disc brakes with a 12x20x9 inch shopping basket
Who it's for
Riders who want three-wheel stability for shopping trips, errands or leisurely rides and don't need speed. Not a fit for anyone wanting a lightweight bike for fast group riding.
Pros and cons
- 450 lb combined rider and cargo capacity
- Front and rear disc brakes
- 7-speed gearing for hills
- Integrated basket plus waterproof canvas bag included
- Wider and heavier than a standard two-wheel bike
- Slower to maneuver in tight spaces than two-wheelers
Performance notes
The wide 4 inch tires and three-wheel layout are what make this about stability rather than speed, with a deep tread built to hold traction on gravel, sand and light snow rather than roll fast on pavement. Front and rear disc brakes with aluminum grips give more consistent stopping power carrying a loaded basket than rim brakes would manage.
