Overview
A craft room or home office where photos, posters and school projects get printed is where this machine fits. It uses six inks for photo color, lets you reach functions on a large touchscreen and prints from phones and laptops over Wi-Fi.
The reason to buy is photo-grade color with tabloid-size output and duplex in a home machine. The limit is that it handles sheets only, and the speed figures are modest for large prints.
Who it's for
Picture a household that prints school projects, albums and wall art on a regular basis. A small print shop, or someone who needs roll paper, should look at a true plotter.
Pros and cons
- Six-ink photo color
- Prints up to tabloid size
- Wi-Fi and Ethernet
- Sheets only, no roll support
- Large and heavy for a desk
- Ink cartridges are a recurring supply
- Plain paper listed as media
Performance notes
Photo color comes from the extra light cyan and light magenta inks, which smooth skin tones and gradients. Print speed is rated on plain pages, and photo-quality output on glossy paper takes longer per sheet. Scanning and copying use the flatbed glass at the same resolution class as printing.
