Overview
Not a gamepad, this Thrustmaster HOTAS is a joystick and detachable throttle set licensed for Microsoft Flight Simulator, with a twisting grip or throttle lever for rudder. It plugs in and works on PlayStation and PC.
Official licensing and plug-and-play support make setup quick in Flight Simulator on console or PC. Rudder pedals for fuller realism are sold separately.
Who it's for
Microsoft Flight Simulator players on PlayStation or Windows who want realistic stick and throttle control for planes, helicopters and gliders. Xbox owners are not covered by this listing.
Pros and cons
- Official Flight Simulator license
- Throttle detaches for desk or lap
- Two rudder control options
- Adjustable stick resistance
- Rudder pedals sold separately
- No Xbox support listed
- Large on a small desk
Performance notes
Precision comes from the high-resolution sensor reading small stick movements, and adjustable resistance tunes the feel per aircraft. Detaching the throttle lets the stick sit on a lap or desk for comfort on long flights.
