Overview
Not a part that needs cutting or drilling, this Rough Country BA2 pair bolts to the Tacoma Double Cab with the supplied hardware. The step is a wide, textured surface finished in powder-coated black.
A broad nonslip step, a stated weight rating and five years of coverage are the strengths. The limit is the narrow fit window, which is one cab style and three model years.
Who it's for
Owners of the newest Tacoma with a double cab who want a grippy, wide step for passengers and gear will use it daily. Other cab styles and model years need a different pair.
Pros and cons
- Wide nonslip stepping surface
- No-drill bolt-on installation
- Stated weight capacity
- Five year warranty
- Double Cab only
- Three model years only
- Adds width at the rocker

Performance notes
A wide step spreads foot pressure and gives traction in wet or muddy conditions, while alloy steel carries the stated load. Mounting uses the supplied hardware on existing points, and the description puts the job at an hour or two with standard hand tools.
