Overview
ASUS pairs a high core count Intel processor with an RTX graphics chip and a large, fast, color accurate screen in this ROG Strix laptop. Wired Ethernet, Thunderbolt and Wi-Fi cover connections, and Windows Pro is installed.
A large, bright, wide color display and strong CPU power suit both gaming and creative work. The graphics chip is a step below the processor's class, and the weight makes it a desk machine more than a travel laptop.
Who it's for
Desk based gaming, streaming and video editing benefit from the screen and processor. Commuters and travelers will find it heavy.
Pros and cons
- Large, bright wide color screen
- Very fast processor
- Thunderbolt and wired Ethernet
- Wi-Fi 7 wireless
- Heavy for carrying
- GPU midrange for the class
- Memory maximum listed at installed amount
Performance notes
The many core processor handles game engines, streaming encoders and background apps at once. Frame rates at native resolution are set mainly by the RTX GPU and its memory. High refresh on the large panel needs a GPU that can push matching frame rates.
