Overview
The Sony SASW9.UC2 is a 600 watt wireless subwoofer built as a floor standing unit with Bluetooth connectivity, in a black finish.
The SASW9.UC2 model naming lines up with Sony's home theater bar systems, where this subwoofer typically pairs wirelessly with a companion soundbar to add low frequency output without a cable running across the room. Buyers should confirm compatibility with their specific Sony soundbar model before buying it as a standalone add-on.
- 600 watt power rating
- Wireless Bluetooth connectivity
- Floor standing design
- Black finish
Who it's for
Owners of a compatible Sony soundbar system who want to add or replace the wireless subwoofer. Not intended as a universal subwoofer for receivers from other brands.
Pros and cons
- 600 watt power rating for strong low frequency output
- Wireless Bluetooth pairing avoids running a cable
- Floor standing design
- Likely requires a compatible Sony soundbar to pair with, not sold as standalone
- 51.4 lb weight means it is not easily repositioned
Performance notes
At 600 watts, the subwoofer is built for noticeable low frequency output in a living room sized space. Its floor standing design and Bluetooth pairing let it sit away from the soundbar and connect wirelessly rather than through a cable, which simplifies placement.
