Hisense 85U6SF Pro U6 Pro Series 85-Inch Mini-LED Fire TV

Overview

Not a projector or a wall-mounted panel, this is a self-contained Mini-LED television at the largest size class, with its own stand, tuner and Fire TV software. Hundreds of local dimming zones sit behind the panel, and the Hi-View AI Engine adjusts picture settings as content changes. Everything arrives in one box: panel, stand, remote and power cable.

Glare-free treatment and strong local dimming make this set usable in bright rooms where reflections normally wash out the picture, and the native high refresh rate holds motion fluid during sports and games. The trade is size and weight: the panel is heavy, the stand footprint is wide, and nothing for wall mounting is included.

Who it's for

Rooms with windows and overhead lights that normally wash out a screen suit this set, and gamers who want smooth motion will notice the difference. Buyers with a narrow media wall or a cabinet sized for a smaller panel should look elsewhere, since the panel is wide and heavy.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Local dimming zones brighten and darken in step with the scene, so contrast holds up in mixed lighting. The high native refresh rate reduces blur on fast camera pans and gameplay, while the anti-reflection layer cuts glare from windows and lamps. Picture processing adapts settings by content type, and the built-in subwoofer handles low frequencies the slim speakers cannot.
