Buyer feedback is strongly positive on noise and jam-free operation, so this is a reasonable pick for everyday home shredding; just expect the bin itself to feel less sturdy than the shredding mechanism.

Overview
A 6-sheet cross cut shredder from Locksworth with a 3.43-gallon see-through bin and a portable carry handle, rated P-4 for shredding credit cards, staples and clips alongside paper.
Locksworth sells two very similar shredders in this size class; this one is the cross cut version, cutting to about 5 by 18 millimeter particles rather than the finer micro-cut of its sibling.
- 6-sheet cross cut, P-4 security, about 5 x 18 mm particles
- 3.43-gallon bin with a transparent window
- Portable top handle for moving between rooms
- Auto shutoff blades when the lid is lifted
Pros and cons
- Handle on top makes lifting the head off the bin easy
- 3.43-gallon window bin needs less frequent emptying
- One reviewer found the bin plastic feels thin despite being sealed well
- Thicker paper or envelopes can bog the motor down, per a reviewer
- Only 3 minutes of continuous run time before the cooldown period
Performance notes
The cross cut mechanism reduces paper to roughly 5 by 18 millimeter P-4 particles, taking up to 6 sheets plus staples and paper clips left in place. It runs continuously for 3 minutes before a 60-minute cooldown, and a REV slide clears jams and sweeps dust off the blades. Lifting the lid off the bin cuts power to the blades immediately, restoring it only once the lid is reseated.
