Overview
A bathroom with hard-feeling city water is where the Filterbaby Showerhead Pro earns its place, filtering inside the showerhead itself. It threads onto a standard shower arm by hand, offers three spray modes, and takes a cartridge that twists out with two release buttons.
Putting the filter inside the head avoids the bulky look of an add-on filter while still cutting chlorine and chloramine. Expect to buy refills regularly, and note that it filters only the shower.
Who it's for
People who notice dry skin or hair after showering in treated tap water get a one-piece filter and head. Homes with hard water scale issues across every tap need a whole-house system instead.
Pros and cons
- Filter and head in one unit
- Third-party chlorine testing
- Three spray settings
- Refills use less plastic
- Refills needed every few months
- Filters the shower only
- Flow rate not listed
Performance notes
Water passes through the cartridge before reaching the spray face, so chlorine and chloramine are reduced at the point of use. Cartridge life depends on water quality and use, and spray mode changes do not bypass the filter.
