Overview
Flying the Firebird into battle and landing it to fire its missiles is the play here. This Playmates Thunderzord from the Re-Ignition line attaches to the other combinable zords to help form the Mega Thunderzord.
Collectible play is the hook: each zord adds a piece to a bigger robot. Missile launchers and micro figures add action on their own. Kids only get the full combined form by collecting the rest of the set.
Who it's for
Kids already building the Mega Thunderzord, or starting the set, get a zord that plays alone and combines later. Parents looking for one complete robot should buy a single combined figure.
Pros and cons
- Combines with other Thunderzords
- Firing missile launchers
- Micro Ranger figures included
- No batteries needed for play
- Full Megazord needs other zords
- Small missiles are easy to lose
- Compatibility with older zords not stated
Performance notes
Action comes from manual play, with the launchers attaching once the Firebird lands. Combining depends on owning the matching Re-Ignition zords, since connection points are built around that line.
