Jaxwq TH410 5-in-1 Stud Finder

Overview

The Jaxwq TH410 is a 5-in-1 stud finder that scans for wood studs, metal, live AC wiring, joists and pipes, with a backlit LCD and audio beep to guide you to the center and edge. This listing is the Banana color option.

A minority report the opposite: readings that shift every time they recalibrate. The gap between those two groups mostly comes down to technique and wall type, which the listing copy doesn't address.

• 5-in-1 sensing for wood, metal, joists, pipes and live AC wire
• Backlit LCD with center, edge and battery indicators
• Audio beep alerts alongside the visual display
• Stud, deep and metal scan modes

Who it's for

Good for DIY homeowners tackling TV mounts, shelving and garage racks who are willing to spend a few minutes learning the calibration step first. Not the choice for anyone who wants a tool that reads correctly with no learning curve at all.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Buyers who recalibrated carefully and kept the unit flat against the wall throughout the scan reported center readings that lined up with where the stud actually was. Buyers who lifted the unit off the wall mid-scan were the ones reporting drifting or wrong readings.
